Come join us in Málaga, Spain, for a fun-filled week from October 8 – 14, 2023.

Our pop-ups provide a super casual, budget-friendly opportunity to gather together, connect with other worldschoolers, share your insights, instill new friendships, learn about the local area, and immerse in a friendly, accepting mobile community.

We’ve cherry-picked the best low- or no-cost activities that highlight local nature, arts, history, food, and culture….but you’ll also have plenty of time to relax, get to know each other and even stray from the itinerary to add activities that cater to the group’s interests (we provide plenty of supplemental ideas to tailor your experience).

Pop in for a few days or the full week. Join as many activities as you’d like. It’s up to you! We would love to have you come and simply hang out with like-minded families while we dive in and explore the local offerings.

Add-on options include: Sea Life Benalmádena, Museum of the Imagination, Flamingos & Donkeys at Fuente de Piedra (1 hr away from Malaga), Guadalhorce River Estuary Natural Area, Bioparc Fuengirola, the zoo, and the Children’s Museum!

MEET YOUR HOST(s):

We are the Pittarelli Family, Aimee & Chris, and we have 3 children, 1 girl and 2 boys, Sophia 10, Alex 7, and Andy 5.  After Chris retired from the US Coast Guard, we rented our Florida house out and spent the last year world schooling. We have visited over 21 countries in the last year, and were able to attend 2 Pop Ups, and had a wonderful time. The first two months we spent in the Malaga area, we fell in love with it, everything from the nightlife to the kids’ activities, and the beautiful beaches. We decided to make Malaga permanent, enrolled our children in school, have a house in Benalmádena, and share our love of this part of the country with others.

LODGING & NEIGHBORHOODS:

Many of our activities will take place near Málaga Centro & Centro Histórico. Staying in this area will be central to the events on our itinerary. However, Malaga is well connected via train. Choosing accommodations anywhere along the train line will be convenient for accessing our activities. The host family will be staying southwest of Málaga in Benalmádena past Torremolinos.
