Forever Wild Children’s Garden in Las Terranas, Dominican Republic announces its specialized week for families with children who are neurodiverse!:)
Are you craving connections with other families that may have the same needs as yours? Are you looking to spend a week surrounded by families and have your child in a program that is filled with memories, laugher and activities that let them just be…a kid!
Join us for a week that celebrates the diversity in our children. In order to keep our program small, and meet varying degrees of need and supervision we will only be opening this opportunity up to 5 families.
After 15 years of working in exceptional education and inclusion in New York, Amanda Dixon, alongside her husband( a poet, dancer and Qi Gong facilitator) has opened Forever Wild Children’s Garden in Las Terranas, Dominican Republic. This area is filled with beautiful beaches and a relaxing atmosphere filled with other families from around the world.
Although the Seedlings and Sprouts Educational Program is designed for a more neurotypical child, we realize the need for programming designed for those with neurodiversity as well, especially alongside their peers and siblings.
Please join us for a week of magic and family activities designed to create those connections and give parents time to connect with other families while their child(ren) are at camp.
Registration and openings are first come, first serve as this program will fill up. Once registration is full, we will move to a wait list for any last minute cancellations.
Neurodiversity Inclusion Program details:
– Ages 5-10….October 1-7
– Neurotypical siblings ages 4-10 welcome both weeks
– Child must be able to use the bathroom independently
– Our staff are native English speakers, so your child does not have to be verbal, however does need to understand or use communication in English.
– To register for camp, at least one parent must also participate in parent activities (ie. Beach lunch, simple hike, beginner yoga, etc). Our goal is to build community with families so your participation is also needed for other parents to have lasting memories.
